Artistic Director



Anne Marie Gour Lanthier is the artistic director and owner of Le Dance Lab Competitive & Recreational Dance School.   Anne Marie was trained in ballet-jazz starting at the age of 5 at the Sandra Jennings School of Dancing in Hawkesbury, ON. After 2 years, she moved on to the Studio M.L. in Plantagenet, ON where she followed baton and jazz for another 2 years.

From 1986 to 1993 she continued studying jazz and tap at the Studio M.L. She had the opportunity to experience many recital performances and participate in dance competitions. Anne Marie had the experience to participate in a weekly dance education workshop called Dance Olympus in New York City in the summer of 1992. During her last year with the Studio M.L. she was an assistant-teacher in jazz and tap. She discovered many different other styles such as musical theatre and lyrical.

In 1999, she followed hip-hop classes at the Whitham School of the Performing Arts in Ottawa, ON. In 2001-2002 she was hired as a dance teacher in jazz, tap and creative dance for La Maison des Arts in Embrun, ON.

In September of 2002 she founded Le Dance Lab giving the opportunity to over a hundred students to live the dance experience. Anne Marie attended l’école secondaire de Plantagenet from 1991-1995 obtaining her grade 12 diploma. She attended La Cité collégiale from 1995-1998 studying Medical Laboratory Technology obtaining her Medical Laboratory Technician licence in January 2000.

She worked at the Ottawa Hospital in 1998-1999 as a Medical Laboratory Assistant and followed on to be a Retail Store Manager for Campbell Pools Inc. in Alfred, ON from 1999-2005. She currently works for R. Gour Landscaping Ltd., a family owned business in Plantagenet, ON where she does the accounting.

In 2007, Anne Marie was a jazz dance student at the Defalco Dance Training Inc. facility in Nepean, ON.  She was trained under the C.D.T.A. (Canadian Dance Teacher’s Association) by a C.D.T.A. examiner.

In 2009, Anne Marie attends a couple of hip-hop workshops at the Montreal Boogizone Community Class.

In 2010, she trains at the 8 Count Dance Complex in Montreal owned by Steve Bolton, choreographer for Blueprint Cru.

Anne Marie participated in THE PULSE workshops in NYC in 2010 taught by the top world choreographers such as Mia Michaels, Cris Judd, Brian Friedman, Peter Chu, Robert Hoffman, Gil Duldulao, Dave Scott, Laurieann Gibson, Ron Todorowski, Desmond Richardson, Tyce Diorio, Andy Blankenbuehler & Derek Mitchell.

Anne Marie received her zumba dance instructor certification in June of 2011. 

She is a creative choreographer who is very technical and has an eye for details.  She is a very dynamic teacher who wants her students to achieve their highest potential.  She has won many choreography awards over the years and her students have achieved excellent results.  She is a professional at what she does!
